Hey Locox, Sal here. I had a customer who ran those wires on a 95 Lightning with a Vortech. He kept having problems with the motor breaking up at high RPMs. Changed everything under the sun, no change. Then I said "why don't you get rid of those wires, and put on a set of Magnacores?". No more break up. BTW, 99s don't have plug wires.

uh... ya... no wires (isnt technology great) first phones go wireless, then engines. Wonder what will be next, wireless kites. Man I thought the therapy was working, back to my corner
Boy Sal!
You started to give me a scare with your post. Had to hurry and get to the last sentence. Hey boys and girls, the Lightning system is coil on plug, so forget about the swapping of the plug wires and don't even ask about MSD/Crane or the other crap boxes.
PS. Don't send me hate mail MSD/Crane are cool but some of the other electronic boxes are not worth the price of the box that they are stuffed into.

You are right on the ignition (hot spark with high cylinder pressures). When I spoke with MSD they told me they were looking into a coil on plug system. It is just that it was not going to happen any time soon.
