Owners, why did you choose your color???
Choice?????You mean there's another color other than RED?????????????????Naw, you're just kidding me right?? Besides it fits my agressive profile. Also, I discovered that when I got my red 93 and would blaze up behind some jerk in the left lane they would actually move over. I never had that happen before. Either they think they are about to be eaten by the truck from hell or it's an ambulance. Either way, it's a bonus.

I've had a black truck, two white trucks, a silver truck, three green trucks, red Trans Am, purple Camaro, mystic teal Camaro.
Probably the best overall for staying clean looking is the silver. Next best is the white. Black is the by far the hardest of them all. Car wash swirl marks in time, after a rain, morning dew, you name it, black is murder. Also looks the best for five minutes after a good wax job.
But to me, RED is the color of speed. That's what I want - so that's what I'm getting. Personaaly, I also think the black plastic do-dads on this truck are really set off by a contrasting color.
Red also stays pretty clean looking for a while - which is important as I will not be able to garage it. My wife's TA goes there. In our modern society of two car garages that only fit one car plus a lawn mower, what can you do.
To each his/her own.

Bought Silver Thunderbird Turbo Coupe in 87.
Dont like white or black for reasons above. Red is a Lamborghini or Ferrari color. (Read speeding tickets and attention) Silver makes a nice contrast to the tires and is easy to keep clean. Especially since my 92 gets washed once per quarter whether it needs it or not...

92 F150 XLT 302
Now waiting for 2000 L
Not interested in Dragging just wanted something more fun to drive than 92 F150.
Put Cat Back system and K&N Filter on 302 but still want more…. CANT WAIT !!!

I hear what Big Poppa is prechin! Dealer I bought my L from had all 3 colors on the lot, mine had just arived the day I stopped to look and after gawking at all 3 I went w/ the black for a few reasons. 1) Black is just plain bad on this truck. Sure the truck itself is bad,but in black..."oh hell yeah!"
2) The white one was sold(and it gave me a hyped up refrigerator kindda vibe) 3) It's just plain bad. 4) Red...well it was choice #2.

I have a white 87' Mustang GT that I love. Love the color. When I went looking for a 94' L, I wanted a white one also. But got such a great deal on a black one, could not pass it up. Regretted it. Black is the best color, if you keep it clean. But being a daily driver, the only time it is clean is the day you wash it. So when the 99 L came out the only choice was white for me.

I think black is my favorite color for the L but my last four rides were black and I just plain got tired of becoming a slave to it. As hard as I tried I would always end up eventually with swirl marks etc. Black looks best on a cloudy day but the sun shows all on black. I now live in so.cal and sunny days rule. White still has to be clean to "glow" but it doesnt show the swirls in the sun. I do like red but would have preferred a candy apple red
So the answer was white this time for me (to make a short story long.) Actually they all look great, huh.

I found a red one here in Lexington at Paul Miller Ford and fell in love instantly, but they wanted $35k to drive it away, so I said no thank you. A couple months later, friend told me there was a white one about 20 miles away. Next day I went to take a look, and looky, looky, what we have here. Had one of each color. When you see them all three together, it was just a no brainer for me. RED! They're all nice, and my cousin has a black one w/tinted windows and it looks nice, especially when it's clean, but the red just looks awesome for me. So I talked to the owner of the dealership(which is a good friend)and he said take whichever one you want for $500 under sticker, and the rest is history.

Well in the immortal words of Henry Ford "they can have any color they want, as long as it's black". Wanted a white one, but as soon as I had decided to get one, the only dealer in the valley (of the sun) out of 5 certified dealers had any left, & both of them were black (my second choice). It was either get black, or wait until 2000 (sorry for you 2000 guys but there was no way in hell I was going to wait THAT long!). So Black it is, I think it looks the best. I love it when I get out of work, walk down to the basement of my parking lot & see it sitting there among all the other cars. It looks like a big black monster ready to devour all the other cars around it!

Red is the number 1 most ticketed color in America, so I desided to do my part in trying to change the numbers, one more RED but without any tickets. Hope this turns the odds in yall's favor........
