Cool Sun's out,time for a kill!

Brought my baby, ummm I mean beast, out today since the sun was shinning(gonna be 50 here tomorrow) and looked for some takers.Found one in the form of a BMW M5,from a roll(@ about 25) it was reeeeaaaal tight to the next light but I am still undefeated. Barely.I had know idea those sedans had so much kick! The icing on the cake was it was being driven by some teenage kid who looked to be a firm believer in "each sticker gives me 5 extra horses" theory. Must be nice when mommy and daddy have the $$$ to give junior a Beemer.I hoped for a go from a stand still, but my opponent was in a hurry to go to Mickey D's of all places,so no such luck.
Another long post,sorry ,

Question

Going at it from 25 mph probably means you didn't get 1st gear. The auto BMW's kick-down to 1st at full throttle, and a manual would of course be able to get whatever he wanted. So... good show!

Yeah, M5's are real quick...not $70k quick, but with 400bhp, they can hang with alot of sports cars in a drag race. Where they shine is an Autocross or Road course though, I heard these things have killer handling and suspension.

We own one of the orignal 1988 M3's, which is wild on the road course and very fast for it's time. It has a 2.3L 4 banger w/192HP (the euro version had 230HP), and only fuel injection...no blower or turbo. MMMMM...if we bolt 2 of those euro versions together, we would be "Hell on wheels"????!!!

Hell of a kill. The current R&T has the M5 as a 5 flat 0-60 machine, with a 13.4 108 mph quarter. R&T usually seems to drive like old ladies compared to C&D results, so that car is apparently awesome. Price as tested was 73K.
