Cool F150 Online Texas Chapter Club ???????

Hello all, Like the title says, "F150 Online Texas Chapter Club". Myself and a few others have (been kicking this around for a while.) I was planning on the San Antonio Rally being the first large member meeting. I know what you 're thinking, how do I become a member ? It's real easy. First we need you to respond back , if this is something that you would be interested in doing. If nobody responds, then we will just throw it to the way side. If y'all are interested, here are a couple of the ideas that we have set up so far.

The Texas Chapter will be for the F150 Online Members . If your a member you got that part out of the way. We will most likely have Yearly dues that will go to the F150 Online Web site as well as maybe a yearend Banquet (Most likely have to work with the Banquet Idea). You will have to show your membership with a F150 Online Texas Chapter Sticker. I will place a pic later of the one on my truck down below (Davensa did a great job with this). You will have to maintain the integrity of the club (Basically be nice and such. We have not specified this but soon will). There may be some other things, but remember, this is just a check to see if there is any interest out there.

I did want to say to those People in Oklahoma and other surrounding states that we would like you to join as well. We will make different stickers for y'all in the shape of your state, (i.e.: F150 Online Oklahoma Chapter, etc.). We thought that we would let y'all stay in our group until you felt that you had a larger number of members and wanted to fly solo.

Well, like I said, this is just a "who's interested" poll, So let me hear from you...

Hey all,

I like the idea of forming an official club in Texas, but I'm afraid that you cannot officially align it with F-150 Online. This is not because I do not like you, but because F-150 Online in and of itself is not a legal entity at this time.

By officially using the site's name in your name, there is an implication of liabilty to me personally (ie F-150 Online) that I cannot legally take on at this point. I hope you understand. Again, it is nothing personal, it is strictly related to legal liability.

Of course, I am happy to support your organization in any way, including (but not limited to) creating a web site area for you (under your control, for the most part) at http://texas.f150online.com

I'm in... Looks like we need to do something different with the name tho... How about Texas Chapter of Ford Truck Enthusiasts? Or maybe something else with a cool acronym?

Cool

No Problem Steve, I will get with the Board and see what name we will use. Thanks for the support. This does mean that the Stickers that Davensa made should not be on the trucks.

LightningDammitt I believe you may have hit apon a good name there. We will know in a day or two what the name will be.

Everyone even though the name is changing the idea seems strong. If your interested let us know. Thanks

Hey all,

I hate to rain on the parade...just to let you know, Ford Truck Enthusiasts is trademarked by Ken Payne over at fordtrucks.com, so unless you cut a deal with him (which may be possible, but I don't want you guys to leave me ), that name may be out as well...

A while back, someone suggested Fordified...is that out, too hokey?

Cool

No problem Steve, we don't plan on leaving and we have not set a name yet. Sorry Lightning Dammitt it don't look like we will use that one. If yall have any other ideas let me know.

WhiteLightninSVTGirl, not sure if that would work for the club. LOL So when do you think you may move to Texas? and where? We have a few rallies coming up and you would be welcome to attend.

As for the Fordified that was the start of this whole thing. We here in DFW thought that a club would be good and the name Fordified was what we were going to use. But now that we have grown out of the bounds of just DFW we thought let's make it a Texas deal. Fordified may be a little off what we want because I'm looking at a larger deal. The Texas Chapter of #### is what we kinda want because this Chapter is part of a club that may grow into a National club where we as a collective group around North America could get together. Maybe I'm crazy but I would love this to happen.

I'm in also, but like oldgrnbean, I'm still anxiously awaiting my '00. As far as a name, are you stuck on something with Ford in it, or how about Tex Trucks?

Well, it all depends. As far as I am concerned the sooner the better, but you know how that goes...I will be living in West Houston. I am also currently a member of GSR based out of Denver. *Girl Speed Racing* but I am not sure how long that will last as their contacts and *hook ups* are predominantly import...which does me no dang good. In any event, I will be in Houston to race at least once this season just to be with the team.
