It's hard to believe that not one person on this board might have an idea what might be wrong with my truck. Oh well, I guess all Lightning owners dont stick together.

Talking

Hi redrocket!
I just saw your post. Your power lose, is it only in the performance position of the Superchip? Or is it in both positions? Could you give some more details. One other item, call Superchip and talk to the tuner (Patrick is one of the Lightning tuners) and ask what changes they made. I take it there was not an issue before the chip was re-programmed. Sorry can't be more helpful but need more details. I don't want to throw out a bunch of maybe this maybe that crap.

Unhappy any ideas ??

Sent my Superchip back for the lastest revision. Got it back and went out for a spin this past weekend (Not a daily driver). Runs up to redline fine in 1st. The problem is when the truck is at about 80 mph in 2nd. At around 80, there is a big power lose (feels like a V6). The boost gauge is still showing full boost. Any ideas ??

Dont know if you have seen my posts before on this, but my truck did the same thing at around 100 or 105mph with a superchip. Performance Products said that this had never happend before so I took their word on that. It only happend in performance mode. I spent a whole afternoon expermenting with it. I would run 0 to 120mph in both modes about 10 or 15 times. Took the chip and computer back out, cleaned it real good again just in case. Ran it some more, same thing. Was gonna ship it back to Performance Products for an exchange until I found out that I was gonna have to pay for the shipping. So instead of messing around with all of that junk I told them to keep the chip when they recieve it and give me a refund. Thats alot of money to playing around with this back and forth stuff and having to front the shipping. Check out Jerry Jordans posts, he was having similar problems with his PSP chip. These problems dont seem to be common though.
