No more sssspppuutter. Changed the plugs.

Had some hesitation when going partial to-medium throttle so I figured I'd to the fuel filter (two weeks ago) and plugs rather than look deeper at first. Just put in a set of TR-6s gapped at .034 and it cleared up the issue.

I'm sooo glad I didn't have to pull the tank down to inspect the fuel pumps. Thanks, JimIII for suggesting it though if the plugs didn't do the trick.

So here are the AR94s I pulled out. Previous owner installed them and I'd say they have +/- 15,000 miles on them.

Any comments from the plug experts? Sorry, the pics aren't great.

Thanks..

Im no plug expert, but yours look a lot better than when I pulled mine. I had one, the 2nd from the front on the drivers side with NO gap!

It looks likes two different people installed those plugs. The gaps on one side of the engine are much wider than the other side.

Holy crap, you're right!!! How the f I didn't notice that, I have no idea. I'm gonna go look at them to make sure it wasn't an optical illusion.

Was it an optical illusion? How far out were they?

Well, those plugs are cut back and some of the electrodes were more worn than others. So yes, they do look like they were gapped differently in the pics, but don't look as bad in person.

Thanks
