well, you'll need a helmet. I found that out the hard way. No helmet, no go...

Cool

SCCA requires a SNELL approved helmet. Most motorcycle helmets will have this approval rating along with the DOT approval. I use my full-face Bell motorcycle helmet for SCCA events.

If you got a helmet, bring it. The track officials are pretty sure you will run better than 13.99, and will ask about it.

HRP is a world class facility and all NHRA regs are strictly enforced. And don't forget, there is a 20 mph limit on the return road, they get testy about that too.

If you dont have a helmet you can borrow one, but you wont get as many passes. I didnt have one last time but bought one today so I can really take advantage of the track time

Well Nathan, this must be your lucky day. He plans on showing up Friday as well. It's a green 94 Dakota. His name is Chuck and is an all around nice guy. Look for him, I know he'll be looking for you

Wink

If that "green" Dakotd is the one I am thinking of, Whatch out! This thing has a Dodge V8 with a Turbo Charger, NOS, and Crane Cam. I seen it run and it hauls. Like 11.90's. He showed up one night at one of our muscle car runs at a Sonic drive in with a friend in a 1970 SS454 Chevelle.

Ok all you Texans,

Those of us whose tracks are still closed have had with you warm weather racers! (LOL). We are VERY jealous of you. The strip here in Memphis doesn't open for another month, oh well. As far as I remember, Marvin is the only other Memphian on this board...let me know if I'm wrong.

Take care guys and have fun!

Later,

Collin

No, that's not him. It is a worked over 360. EFI,A4 that's a daily driver. I'm really not setting anyone up. If you can run a low 13, you should be able to hang with him. His mph is right around where everyone elses is. He does run a 3500 stall with sportsman pros so be warned. I know you guys will get sick of racing each other.
