DYNO #s, are they right 4 mods done?

i was wondering if these DYNO #s sound right for the mods that i have done I personnally I think that they should be a little higher

mods:
built lower
heads / stage III cams
JLP cai / thunder tube
C&L upper plenum / ported Eaton
ported lower intake / SCT big maf / 60# inj / SCT 4-way chip
255 fuel pumps / 8# lower pully / 2600 stall / heat exchanger
bassani full exhaust "no headers" / ftvb / stock upper pully/ boost-by-pass /

truck only had 330mi on new motor, drove from central La to Houston to the DYNO they put truck on the dyno 30 min after i got there
and the best it got was 444rwhp 550tq
does this sound about right?

Sounds a little low, but not that far off. Do you know anything about your tune? What's the timing showing and what was your A/F at on the dyno?

Also, that's a little early on the break in to be dynoing the truck. Try re-dynoing it after about 500-1000 miles and you might see better numbers once the rings are fully broken in.

The only other thing I see with your combo is you seem to be running stock manifolds? That's definitely not helping, especially with all the extra airflow you've added to the motor with the heads/cams and such.

Did you go to Strictly Performance? If you did, condolences, man. His dyno is WAY off. I dynoed there w/ a Magnum @ 18 PSI and a host of other mods at 400HP. Who did you go to? I took it to one of our local club's dyno meets @ Hennsey's shop and pulled 446 with no changes.

i think the timing was around 18* on the warm tune air/fuel was around 11.2 @wot i got the dyno done at PSI in Houston
they had about 7 lightnings there 4-5 mustangs
the maroon f-150 JDM built that belongs to Paul Gamino was there very nice
Chillfactors truck was there that was very nice one to and they had a gen 2 turbo lightning there and twin turbo gt 98-04 mustang and one gen 2 that looked like it had been rode hard and put up wet it had a 2 speed powerglide w/5000 stall in it

Here's my graph from the same dyno. This pull was on my PSI programs.
Mods include: Stock block, 15 #'s of boost and full exhaust.

Are the numbers SAE, STD, or Uncorrected ?
Either way I agree with Sal and I'd say the TQ and HP are both low for that set up.
I had the same 8lb + CL + Sal's CAI "but with LT Headers", (no port work, stock heads and cams)
and Sal always put down 590- 600lbs lbs of TQ and 450-470 HP, even on the Eaton.
If there's one thing I learned through all this, it's you MUST GET IT OUT OF THE MOTOR.

seems way low to me.......

not much more than my 4lb ,ported eaton, stock long block put out......

A/F is Safe, not overly fat.....

I think Sal hit it on the head.

Do you have the High flow cats when it says FULL exhaust?? I bet the cats alone would help but headers too.

I'd say truck should be putting down 460-470 for hp and 570 ftlbs.

Still good numbers though. Good luck.

yes i have bassani high flow cats,x-pipe, mufflers but truck only had about 330mi on new motor and was still hot from the road trip to Texas and i am running some 20w-50w oil until 1st oil change
i figure put it back on thr dyno after oil change and 1k-1500 mi on it and a good cool down , it should make more hopefully

Most use 5w30, some even use 0w
Never heard of anyone using 20 50 in a L

BTW what type of Dyno was it, maybe it was a Mustang Dyno ???
Either way 450/550 is nothing to be ashamed about, thats some serious power,

i took my truck to psi and pulled 400,517 in 90 degrees out side and 110 degrees inside and i really only have a 5 lower, 1 upper, chip, and some other very small modds, i also have a 2000, and if i remember i think he uses std but then again i dynoed there when they had a different dyno

I imagine that isn't good for start up , especially in a modular motor.

I use 20 50 in alot of hydraulic applications I deal with.!!!

oil's WAY TOO THICK

20w50 is WAY TOO THICK for breakin, and I would NOT personally have ran it on the dyno with it in there. Do yourself a favor and get something lower than a 30 weight in that thing before you blow it up. I'd run it on 5w30 or 5w20 non-synthetic for 500 miles or so at least to give the motor a chance to clean out all the assembly lube, then change it, run it another 3k miles on regular nonsynthetic 5w20, and then you're ok to go to the 5w20 synthetic. SERIOUS, I'm an ASE Certified Ford tech, I know what I'm talkin about here. Modular Motors don't like thick oil when they are fresh at all. I'd also break the rings in real good, too. ...Drive on freeway in drive with the overdrive OFF, and run it up and down in the rpms for a few miles, not staying at a constant rpm. This will seat the rings nicely. Good luck, after the 500 mile mark, and you get some fresh oil in there you can dyno your heart out. HINT...engines make more power on the dyno when they are just about ready for an oil change...after the oil has thinned a bit.
