Why is the black diablo chip better than the red diablo???

The red chips are the old Diablo chips, where Diablo wrote the tunes and the vendors loaded them on.

The black chips are the new tuner chips, where the vendors use thier tuning software to write their own tunes and load them on blank black chips.

 

Sorry not trying to jack the thread, but can the old red diablo chips still be reburned with a custom tune? And Sal, do you do the red chips? Would using a red chip cause someone to loose significant hp over say a predator or xcal2?

 

No problem, information is what I'm here for.

We can't burn our own tunes on red chips. Red chips are for Diablo made tunes only. I have never supported the red chips, and honestly, not many current Diablo dealers do anymore.

 

Thanks Sal, your awesome. The reason I asked is right now I cant afford a new tuner but have some chips laying around but I guess I will just wait and buy a new one when I get money.

 

It's your best bet honestly. It will cost you a lot to get that red chip reburned since most dealers won't deal with them anymore. Might as well put that towards a newer chip or tuner.

 

Where does your software come from and how do you know your program is right for my lightning thanks And a certain tuner []NOT JDM[] has had my flip chip for two weeks + have not heard from them i wonder what is going on. mabey they went way south. I have several chips superchip from JDM and red diablo flip switch??????

 

Dugan racing in Lawerenceville GA does the red chips still. I just had mine burned a couple months ago, and I am going to have it reburned in a few more weeks with another new program.

 

I am expecting my red diablo flip switch back from one of my tuners also sent my superchip to jim to be retuned ?????? what if i bought the black revoulation chip and had it been tuned by a tuner and my old red diablo out preformed it then what??????

IT will be three three weeks thursday since i mailed my red diablo back to tuner for reprogram but they do have excuses.Mabey i will learn one of these days About to lose my cool
