Jacking Points
I'm in the process this afternoon of rotating my tires for the first time and just want to confirm the front and rear jacking points.
Looking at the (very poor) diagrams on page 157 in the F-150/250 Owner's Guide (not L specific) and then looking under the truck, it appears that:
1. the FRONT jacking point is that part of the frame that curves upward just to the rear of the suspension control arms; and
2. the REAR point is the axle (not the differential, of course). The frame behind the axle is too high off the ground to jack there and the part of the frame just ahead of the axle is blocked by the exhausts on the right side.
Is this correct? I've never used an axle as a jacking point before, so just wanted someone who knows to confirm before I do it.

I have used the factory jack to remove all four tires. The back axle position can be inhanced by pointing the jack face at a 45 degree angle (barely clearing the back tire). This will allow you enough clearence from the rear of the bed to rotate the crank aggressively until the rear tire is raised.
The front point is 9" behind the a-arm support bracket on the main frame. There is a 3" long section of the frame that flattens out somewhat. Again by angling the position of the jack towards the rear of the truck, the crank clears the front wheel and allows unobstructed access to the jack crank.

With this last rally I had to change the tires on the Beast to put the drag radials on and off. Anyway, i found out the hard way that under nether the pumkin (dad's idea) was a little to low when the 16" rims were on and the juck got stuck under the pumikin and har to break out the piston jack that came with the truck to get the jack out. Well when I went to take them off and put the stock tires back on i used the bottom of the Trailer hitch (dad's idea also), could not get it high enough to get the stock tires back on. So then i found a good point for it all, the lower shock mount on the axil, works great!!!
