440 trq

I'm curious, I was looking at other members dyno numbers and it seems like my torque is down quite a bit, most have about a difference of a 100 between there hp and trq numbers. What factors play in creating torque numbers? My tranny is stock except a FTVB with about 90,000 miles on it, do you think that the tranny is eating up most of the torque? Could heat eat up the torque, or is this just sometimes a normal difference in some trucks?
