Hi all.
My question is reguarding the tranny filter. The filter ford gave me has the Long neck on it instead of the short one like I am used to seeing. You can see what I am talking about in the pic..Do I need to run this one back and get a different one or will this one be okay. I am using a moroso pan with it (Dont know if that makes a difference). Thanks..Oh and while I was at the dealership, they had some t-shirts there and sure enough one of them had a lightning on it. I havent seen too many of them so I picked it up. I wont use it too much..probably just hang on the wall haha.

That filter is the right one if you have a 4x4 pan on your tranny. If you still have the stock pan you'll need the other one with a shorter neck. I've never used a Moroso pan but I would think it would accept the filter you have.

Yep, Autozone had 'em for $4.99 ... I bought them all out for the "L" crowd around here ...

 

The Moroso pan uses the stock style filter without the long neck.
