my bucking lightning and the dealer
i described on a previous post what my truck was doing with the bucking or bumpy road situation. i took it to the dealer today. the tech. rode with me and the truck did it probably better than ever it was very bad. he said the engine was missing. i have 5700 miles on it. after having it in back for 3 hours they finally came back with the solution. i had 3 bad spark plugs, oh boy here it comes these spark plugs are supposed to be good for 100,000 miles right. mine went about 4500 miles and my question to all of you is WHY? could it possibly be caused by the chip running to rich. they said they were beginning to corrode.??? i did not look at them they had to be shipped strait to ford or svt to the engineer dept. and they are gonna run tests and examine the plugs to find out what caused it. yes i did take the chip out before i took it. the only thing not stock is my psp air filter. they rented me a car for the weekend on their expense b/c they have to have my plugs shipped to them they had none in stock. sorry for such a long post but i figured some of you need to know this so you can have yours checked. i know im not the only one that is having this problem. i will post again to this about what the end results are but it will be sometime next week, maybe tuesday.(i miss my bolt already ;(

"corrode" -huh- well thats pretty unlikely...
Did you have any detonation problems?
I would guess it small detonation (from too much Spark advance), from what you said. It could also be to hot of spark at low rpms, but that is very unlikely. If they put the standard 5.4 spark plugs in your truck it would do the same, as I would hope ford choose to put lower heat range plugs in the supercharged engine.
Any who, good luck.
Steven
P.S. Nitrous users, please check to see if your plugs are platinum, if so I would remove them , and I replace with colder standard plugs.

Steven i did have a mild detonation problem only in chip mode but i have not put hardly any miles on it in chip mode my guess would estimate 600 miles. they ordered the plugs from ford., they said it was the only plugs for that truck.
