Post PSP with AirRaid type box? Sal?

When I look at the AirRaid set up with the filter well short of the cold air cutout in the fender, it begs the question why can't PSP users simply get or buy the AirRaid "filter trough", or one a little longer, and use it with a PSP?

Sal, any comments? Anybody else?

I remember reading on an earlier post that one of us ran thermocouples under the hood, and discovered that temps there are identical to OSA ambient while the truck is in motion, and only 1 or 2 degrees higher while at rest. If this is the case, why isolate the filter? Would cause restriction, and (last but not least) would dampen the wonderful sound (music) at WOT.
