12's on street tires last night.. FINALLY! (pics)

Been trying to get my Lightning into the 12's on street tires. I knew I had the HP numbers to do it, it was just a matter of hooking. I traded out my Lakewood traction bars for some 58" LFP lift bars and installed them this weekend. Well after 2 13.1's in a row, with 1.9x 60's, I had a good feeling about the new setup.

Track was 70 degrees. I aired the Nittos down to 18 pounds in the rear.
Laid a 1.83 60' and my baby finally did it, with Her2001 at the wheel (I didn't care if Al Roker jumped out of the stands and ran it)... I'm finally in the 12's in total street trim. Now I can finally port the blower and slap a 6# lower on it, and go for some deeper 12's'. I just wanted to be the only guy around here with a simple 4# pulley running 12's.

My mods: 4#, FTVB, 58" Bars, Nitto 555R's, PSP Fast Air, SCT Tune by Torrie at fastpartnetworks.com

It was a great turnout last night.Dave (Screaming 01L) finally broke into the 10's with his Lightning, on only 14 pounds of boost He swapped for the 18 pound setup but he roasted his 30 inch slicks (wish I had that kind of problem lol). His truck is BUILT, and is going to FLY very soon.

Couldn't have done it without these boards. You guys rock! My run won't count until I get a Rob_02 "Woo Wooooooo!" reply in this thread!!!!

Congrats. I ran a string of low 12.7 @ 107 with just a 4#, tune and filter. I pulled low 1.8s on the F1s all the day long.
Like you I added a 6#, port and stall and ran @ 12.36 @ 110 on slicks.

Ok not to burst your bubble on such a high note my Brother,
But schiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, I did that a few months after I bought mine back in 02.
2 bank Diablo SINGLE chip, 4lb lower, Open Filter
NO OTHER MODS
No Bars, No SBTB, No Tranny Suspension or Exhaust Mods, NO NOTHING
AND ON F-1's ; o )

HOWEVER a 12 is a 12, and the first one is HUGE, CONGRATS TYPHOON
That there run meant mote to me than most aterwards, amof like you I was stuck on 13.1's FOR WHAT SEEMED LIKE FOREVER &(@#$%@($%@$(&$

When it finally comes it's amazing aint it : o )
The funny part is I never ran another 13 after the first 12
AMOF the 11's were tit, I did that with no prob's, it's the 10's that are going to cost me 20K when all is said and done *@&$#%(@$%@$(&^%@$(@$

Enjoy Bro......

hahah THANKS BIG ROB!

By "around here" I meant Gainesville. We have like 6 L's here and we all hang out, and they all rib me because my truck was stuck in the low 13's, while they're all in the 12's (one in the 10's). Yet they all have 6# lowers and Ported Blowers. I wanted to do it with just a wimpy 4# and no port to prove my truck has some guts. Now when I go 6# and Ported they better watch their azzes

Wooo-Woo!

Who is running 10's on a 6lb lower and ported blower? Any Juice?

That's pretty impressive.
