*NEW JLP Torque Converter!*

*NEW JLP Torque Converter!*
We have been asked why all of a sudden were getting 1.3 60 fts.? when we were getting mid to high 1.4's a few weeks ago.. We have been testing new trans set ups and New converters..We had a C-6 trans in testing on numerous times! But we never could get the TC to work right 6 of them! So we decided to put the 4R100 back in. and use what we learned from the C-6 TC and make the same changes to the 4R100 TC! well after 3 different changes we did it! we made 4 passes last week with the final version and every pass was a 1.3 60 ft! and setting a new record of 9.6 @ 140 ..We are going to be offering this unit to the Lightning/HD community! No doubt with the right tires/suspension set-up(No 4-link needed) you will see atleast a 1 tenth drop in the 60 ft. which will result in 2 tenths in the 1/4!..The JLP TC will be ready for purchase next week $899.99...JL

A Huge Thanx to Vicky and Terry @ PI for working with JLP to make this Unbelievable unit!...JL

haha

was this out of a Russian Model Navigator?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Anyhow. I think it's a little early to really pin point the streetablility of this. How many passes have even been made at the track on it.

Price?

i have the PI convertor its not 2400RPM its 2300... its a 10.5" convertor with anti-ballooning plate blah blah blah.. its very streetable and i lovwe astalling the trans with my foot and launching on slicks. at JDM day i got a best 60' of 1.69 it was only 1 pass but it was my best yet.. im confident it could be better, and the only traction devices i have are JLP torque arms and 28x10x16 hoosiers full slicks.. congrats JLP...

The TC is ONLY reccomended for trucks making over 700 bhp! If your not making atleast that amount then the gains will be less. yes different stall are available..we just got a 1.28 60 ft! today with it! Its down right Nasty!..We will be making ours around a 3,000 stall for the turbo's(foot brake)..should be close enough! I won't go into the details what we did, because we have worked very hard both PI and JLP have spent alot of $$ and time to make this finally come together.and have found something that finally works perfect for the Big HP Trucks! ...JL

Cool. Just reading the initial post it almost sounded like you were just selling the regular PI convertor.

Nice write up in MM&FF by the way!!!!

Although you can consider me a JDM cheelreader, it's nice to see some other people get some ink in there once and a while. I wish they still covered lightnings like they used to. Since production stopped, not too much to write about.
