Noise Concern

Hey everyone, I have a question about a noise that I hear in idle and driving between 1800-2000rpm, you can hear it real loud after it's sat overnight and u start it up in the morning. It does it in warm and cold weather. I have a JDM long block, Crower Cams, KB, 2,800 P.I. stall, FTVB, etc...I have about 28,000 on engine. I thought the torque converter might have been loose, but checked the bolts and they were tight, or something broke, but I dropped the pan and didn't see any metal in the pan and the fluid looked fine. I was wondering if anyone thought it could be the timing chain tensioner guides?? you can hear the noise in front close to the timing chain cover but you can also hear it undernearth near the bellhousing/tranny. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or any other thoughts, thanks.
Jason

Well it kinda sounds like the cats are loose, but I checked them and they are tight. I hit them with a mallet while my truck was running and the noise didn't change any, but if you listen from the front near the top and bottom grille you can hear the noise pretty good. You can also hear it from the side and undernearth

HeyJason,

take it to the ex ford tech that installed your engine. i think he is a service advisor now but he is stilll a technician at heart. lol!
