I was bored yesterday...

...well that and I was finally convinced to do my badges. Now all I need is to find pro star xps in 18s to match and I'll be happy.
It rained last night so excuse the dirty truck!
Thanks Chris for making me get off my lazy azz and finally do it!

Looks good Leann. Nice color truck BTW .

I wonder... has anyone acetoned the badges, and then colored the WORD and the bolt? That would prolly look wild.

Killer idea Sal, I was thinking the same thing. It would bring out the letter so much more...

You know, the funny thing is.. while I was doing it yesterday I was thinking that exact thing. I'm too much of a ******* to try it though... I'm afraid I won't like it. :o

You got it backwards, you want the background the same color as your truck and ONLY the bolt and letters chrome. This is the reason the logo's look good on black trucks.

Saw one yesterday, but it wasn't acetoned. It had the bolt painted white. I liked it but I don't think it would work with it acetoned. I like the idea of the letters painted black and the acetoned back ground.

Sal,

I've planned to do this for a while, but I haven't had any time to do it! I still have $1300 worth of audio equipment laying on my floor I need to get into my truck! I bought paint pens a while back, which should make it fairly easy to do. Maybe ill grab time this weekend to do it. We shall see.

Yeah, when I bought my truck it had one side acetoned and the other side not. It is a black truck and I agree, the badge looks better left alone on a black truck, but I may try the "coloring in the letters" thing on my one acetoned badge.

If I want to do the other one, how did you go about it? Did you remove the badges, or tape them off? and was it just acetone and a rag?

Thanks, and they look real good on the blue background by the way.

I love it... It didn't take as long as I thought it would, but I wouldn't do it again!

While my L is at the body shop, the badges are getting shaved off. I always thought they were somewhat tacky.

Well, since I had one badge that was already acetoned and one original, I bought a black paint pen and did the logo in black and outlined the Bolt on the acetoned one.
It looks kinda cool on the black truck. basicly the oposite of the original except the bolt is still chrome.
Not sure if I'm going to keep it or not.
