Question bassani header installation question

Hello all,
I just got my full bassani system today and was reading through the instructions and they say to remove the inner fender splash liner. Did you guys have to do that or can you bring them in thru the bottom? If any of you have any tips or shortcuts they would be appreciated, i'm going to do it myself.
Thanks Brian

you do it to get to the manifold bolts.its easy to do and take your time on the back bolts.also i think the shock gets in the way on one side and you just jack the motor up a little to clear it.i wouldnt cut it as the instructions say.my jba dont interfear with the shock but there are plenty of past posts on both headers.when you remove the air tube be sure to put it on before you put header on .i didnt andit was a pain to put on.

gp is right, the fender liner is fairly easy to remove and makes it alot easier to get to the header bolts.

If you install the passanger side first (the easy side), then cutting the shock stud will be necessary.

It allows clearance for when the motor is raised to install the driver's side. Otherwise, the header tube will get dented and possibly kinked when the motor is raised.

A few seconds w/a cutoff wheel will do it nicely. A good old fashioned hacksaw works pretty well, too. Finish it with a file to smooth the edges and you're down the road.

There is no way I can see to install the driver's side w/o lifting the motor about 3". Removing the motor mount bolt wasn't a real problem and it went back in easily afterwards.

Air tools are a big plus, but make sure you have the correct wrench size for the header bolts. Most of them are inaccesible to air tools.
