YAY Me!!!
Mark, I'll be covering all the skinny on Open Comp racing in the Spring newsletter. Sal is booked in the Ramada at the Arch too (last I heard).
Jim, One night? Heh!! You'll be around Lightning from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave if you so choose. You can run with us at night, stay up all night shooting the bull in the parking lot and eating too many burritos, driving around and tormenting the unbelievers, etc etc. It's like one big parade during the weekend the Fords come to town and the Lightnings tend to run as a pack.
Screamin' - You can either go as a spectator or go as a racer. Spectators pay at the gate, sit in the stands, watch... UG!
RACERS get to park in the pits, hang out with all the fun lovers, eat my good cooking (I'll be doing jambalaya for the Lightning drivers one evening - I did etouffe and jambalaya last year), take a shot at winning some money, etc.
Trust me, you'll REGRET it if you don't come to race. It's Open Comp racing, which means the victory goes to the most consistent like in bracket racing. Just being to hang out with the "gang" is worth every penny of the entry fees.
BTW, Sal and I are sponsoring the Lightning classes this year.
If you don't have rooms yet then I'll post how to get great rates shortly...

Hey guys, Sal here. As Jeff has stated, PSP and the NLOC are sponsoring the 2000WFC. I will be there, in the flesh
I was at the 98 WFC as the owner/pres of the NLOC, and we had a ball. I even organized a huge 30 truck photo shoot that everyone took pictures of and it made it into Super Ford. Last year I sponsored the 99 WFC, but I could not be there unfortunately. I heard I missed a heck of a good time
I am really looking forward to this, because it was such a thrill to meet all the people that I have met through the club and the net, and since it's been two years since the 98WFC, I look forward to meeting all the new people I have met since then. Trust me, you'll have a ball. And if you don't come, you'll regret it. Oh, and if you come, but don't bring your truck, you'll regret that too

Ack! Chris Hoff used to have a picture of the Lightnings at the '98 WFC on his web site. Guess I'll have to rescan it from the mag and post it.
You can see a collection of some of the pictures of last year's goings on at http://nloc.org/99wfc.asp
Why were there always women in my pit?
Ok, to get the best rates at the Ramada at the Arch, sign up via their web site at www.ramada.com. First, sign up for their Club Ramada - it's free, it's a marketing tool, it will get you good rates. You'll received an email with a member number in it - use that as your "Frequent guest number" when you reserve your room and you'll get the room for $53 for single occupancy or $62 for double occupancy. These are better rates than the club could negotiate for a block of rooms.
