Talking New member...LONG...LONG

Good evening F150online members & readers. I have been reading the Lighting board every day since July ’99. The information available on this board is extraordinary! I have never posted on a message board before, but here goes noth’n.

First of all, a ‘short’ auto-bio…I am a 33-year-old aircraft mechanic for a fortune 500 corporate flight department living in northwest Illinois. I have been happily married to ‘the girl next door’, literally, for 12 years. She does everything imaginable to spoil me rotten, including a new Lightning!

I would like to say a special hello to a few members, no offense intended for anyone I failed to mention.

Steve, GREAT website, you have a lot to be proud of!

Sal, You ‘da man!!! Your knowledge and input is incredible. I will have a PSP chip & filter kit on order soon.

Wyldman + Lightning = INSANITY! I want to party with you cowboy!

Yoda, You be funny!

SVTgirl (CA), I’m working up the nerve to ask my present wife if I can marry you too! You seem like a really sweet gal. I haven’t seen an Angel riding a Lightning bolt…YET.

Bill Murray, The most fun ‘job’ I ever had was working part-time in a hobby shop in a Chicago suburb. I would like to see your store sometime.

asdeman & Tundra, sorry about your L’s, it must be heart wrenching. asdeman…go YELLOW!!!

Raoul for PRESIDENT!!!

I am looking forward to meeting all of you in person some day. Sorry for the novel, just wanted to say HEY!

Baby Jake,

Welcome to the spotlight! Lurking in the shadows is cool, but putting yerself out in the forum is a great way to draw all kinds of friendly abuse.

You wanna pardy w/The Wyldman? Come on down to Houston and I guarentee you won't go home a virgin (might sacrifice one or two along the way....) (ladies, please, don't hurt me, I'm just kidding!).

One thing to remember, The Wyldman is crazy, but not insane. There is always a method to my madness......

Welcome Jake

I doubt she'd be willing to share such a sweet guy, but if you have any brothers, may as well keep the L a close family secret. HEHE Thanks!!! Made my night.

Welcome Baby Jake,

I think you'll find yourself right at home among the fellas and ladies here.

We have so much to do, so much to see, and so much competition to pass along the way.

WELCOME!

Jake,

I'd like to add my WELCOME TO THE SITE. I don't post a whole heck of a lot (many on the site are thankful, I'm sure). You know that you'll never find a bunch of guys (and gal, of course) more willing to welcome you to the family and share their wealth of knowledge.

Het Baby Jake!

I was somewhat of a lurker myself... but once I started posting, it was addicting! I went to meet some of these guys this weekend at the Dallas Rally. What a blast! Like Wyldman says, "It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on"! Man, what a weekend! Taking my wife, I had fun even with... Well... Doh!!! Shouldn't go there on THIS board!

Easy Dammit hehehe
Has anybody talked to any other female 99 or 00 L drivers? I think that would make for an interesting pen pal.

Welcome aboard, Baby Jake! Happy to see you had the wisdom to order the most awesome color. You will find yourself staring at your new truck in the garage. Have owned mine for over 6 months and still take long, admiring looks at it. Also, get ready for lots of compliments from both truck owners and non-truckers alike. Everybody seems to love the Lightning.

Hey Jake:

Welcome aboard!

If you ever get tired of wrenching airplanes, I can always use more good help here at HobbyTown. Pay ain't the same, but do we have fun!
And, aside from yesterday's awesome ice storm, the weather is generally better than where you are.

Cool

Christy,

We have a couple of Gen 2 memberships in the NLOC that are registered to women. One raced hers in Pomona a few weeks back, going 13.80@100.8 completely stock her first time ever on the drag strip. I can set you up with some email addresses if you want, just drop me a line off the message board.

Baby Jake:
Welcome aboard!
I live in West Chicago. Il but grew up across the border in Dubuque, IA, and still have family there. Last September, I raced a grudge match against my younger brother at Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, Iowa (20 miles west of Dubuque)with my Lightning. To make a long story short, even though I ran a 13.6, he bested me with his 69 big block Camaro and I demanded a rematch this year. I also will take my Lightning to Byron a few times this year, so if you'd be interested in bringing your new L to a strip to see what it will do, maybe we can hook up. Let me know.

Lightning Bob
