Rusty Wallace has a red 99 "L"
Hello everyone,
I was watching one of the infomercials this morning, the one for a new anti-theft bar. It supposedly just slips over the brake peddle and stops the thieves from getting the vehicle in gear. Looked kinda slick (don't they all?) and they took a testimony from Rusty, showing his garage full of vehicles. He had a Lexus, a 40's hot rod and they showed the front end of a 99 Red Lightning. Pretty cool huh? GO number 2, just not faster than number 6.

i saw last year on a rain delay before i got mine it was parked beside his hauler. i liked to have died b/c that was the first one i had seen with the exception of watching it in pace truck form at the atlanta race in the spring. i liked to have had a truckgasm everytime it came by.

Last year while watching the "Winston" at Charlotte Motor Speedway, TNN did an interview with Rusty outside his motorhome. Right next to his motorhome was a red 99 Lightning. I had been looking seriously into getting an L already, but when I saw that Rusty had a red one, well that was just icing on the cake. I have been a huge Rusty Wallace fan for several years now, and last year while attending Speedstreet before the Coca Cola 600 I finally got to meet Rusty and got his autograph. I couldn't believe how nice and polite he was to everyone. About a month later I found a red L on a lot and took it home. Oh yeah, my aunt lives in Concord, N.C. and saw Rusty driving it one day around CMS.
I worked at the Daytona 500 back in '98. I ran food to the tents behind the pits. I was actually a back-up driver for Dale Earnheart, well he showed up and I did not have to drive...
