Bottom shroud underneath radiator...???
Bottom shroud underneath radiator...???
Hey guys and gals......
The bottom shroud has come loose from the front bumper and hangs down a bit. It is hardly noticeable, but it's driving me nuts!!!
Looks like the previous owner scraped a curb and sheared off a few of the plastic pins that hold it in place.
My question is....do I need that shroud there, or can I cut it away and be done with it. I can always refasten it with zip ties if needed.
Let me know....if you need pics, I can take some tonight when I get home. I will post them in between Martini's

If you are talking about the piece of rubber, it is important as it directs the air through the lower bumper opening into the aftercooler heat exchanger, without it the air will not be forced through the heat exchanger. Ford does not waste money on any pice that is not necessary. if it was not important they would have saved a dime and left it off.
the pins are not the problem....it ripped the rubber holes that the pins went into. I will put new holes into the rubber piece and zip tie it then.
I'm glad I asked before I did anything.....thanks guys
