o.k. now I am really confused, Ford rates a stock SVT Lightning at mid to low 14s. My lightly modded SVTL runs 13.6s on F1's. I would really trully like to see a Stock SVTL run low 13s. I know every line up has thier freek power monsters, but with 4900 lbs w/ driver and fuel, and only 380 hp at the fly wheel, I'm sorry, but your not running 13.1s or 13.2s, and now way your in the 12s. imo

Halftime-

Believe it or not, stock '03 and '04's run low 13's in very good weather. Mine has run a string of 13.3's and a 13.29 at 104 in 50 degree weather. That's on F1's with absolutely no other mods. In summer, though, it runs 13.6's and 13.7's at 102. I've seen several others here in Houston run the same.

13.3 104 stock 2004 at 825 miles (truck now has over 22k) with F1s in 40F weather at about 150ft altitude, clear sky, low humidity. Had some wheel spin too, so there was more there probably. On the dyno it was slightly lean before modifications, maybe as speculated 04s aren't as fat as eariler cars leading to a little more power.

Now we're into +6lbs of boost, cold air, etc. so I'm sure we'd be a little faster, but that isn't stock!

..SOrry about the smartass remarks, I was in an interesting mood I guess... LOL ..but yeah, the Lightning makes a ton of power in cold weather. The air stays cool going into the engine. EXAMPLE... when people use Nitrous, lets say a 75 horsepower kit, it basically just cools off the air and makes a lot more power. Thats all nitrous really does, it cools off the air a LOT. So really cold air going into your engine can be compared to a small dose of nitrous.
