High Pitch Whine!!
Well, I'm joining the problems bunch. I'm getting an unidentified, high pitch high RPMish sound! At first, I thought it was the blower, but now I don't have a clue.
It happens most on moderate acceleration, then when I let off the gas part way I get this high RPM type sound, but when I let off the gas completely it shuts off immediately, almost electrically. Anybody else had that problem? I can't tell if it's the blower or some related component or even drive train.

Radarlove,
I went crazy trying to figure that sound out. Try removing your K&N filter and see if the sound changes. I've removed and put back on the PSP filter a few times and the sound is almost inaudible w/out Sal's filter. I even took it into the dealer and they couldn't find anything. A few people posted and said they have the same thing. I haven't noticed any engine problems or noticed any performance loss, although there could always be slight loss. Let us know if you find anything wrong. Good luck.

Well, I tried to post a reply and it never showed up, so here goes again. Hopefully it won't show up tonight and look like a double post. My personal mechanic says this is a vacuum related problem. That might explain the occasional rush of air I hear from time to time. I was thinking today it might be the transmission as it would stop (snap off) when I let off or it shifted into overdrive and the RPM's dropped. Man it's annoying and still sounds like a high rpm whine. Oh well. Maybe Sal knows something about this.

I've noticed this also, it sounds like the S/C is releasing pressure or something like that. I have almost 5000 miles, how many do you have? I have a factory air filter, no mods to the engine. I should take it in to the dealer but I'am sure they won't find anything wrong.
On a different subject are there any "L" owners from Kentucky out there???
