Cool On the Lighter Side.

Just wanted to post something that was not very serious and have some fun. My friend John did some animation for me, so I thought I would show it.

Oh lord! That's not mine! That's Jason Brown's low nine second terror (which should be a 7 second terror this season). I just linked to the photo in the "Trucks" section of the NLOC site. I'm sure Jason wouldn't mind you adding it, though.

DRAT! Nathan found me out!!!

Nathan: That is incredible how you do that. Could you tell me what you use, and how you do that?

The lines/shadows/reflections are perfect.

I like the "Black Is Best" on the top of the windshield. Nice addition!

I'm a bit partial to purple myself. I shrunk the resolution to make it load a little faster, since we're having editing battles. ;o)

perhaps, but shrinking the resolution can also cover up artifacts created when the edit isnt perfect ...

Now, if only I could find some way of changing colors on the fly in real life...

Metallic Blue:
I use adobe photoshop and there are several ways of doing it so that you can change the color. Typically, I select the area I want to change and then there is a hue/saturation adjustment you can use to change the color. If the shadows and highlights get blurred or muddied by doing this, then you can use a curves tool to edit the image's brightness and contrast on an infinite curve (better than the simple sliders). I could go on all day about it, but photoshop really is a joy.

Hi! FMOS Racing
That is a great shot of your Lightning pulling the front wheels. I would like to add it to the Lightning Photo collection at Zing.com, I hope that you concur. Thanks.

I use Photoshop too.

The Replace Color command works well too, which is what I used and is why the F-150 and Lightning logos on the purple version stayed their normal colors. I only replaced the selected reds.

I had to go back and edit the red one because unfortunately when you start with black, you can't replace it with a different color, only change the hue and saturation of black.

I honestly did change the resolution to make this thing load faster. The only artifacts I could see on the edited version were that I missed the wing and there's a bit of antialiased red along some of the body edges (which is actually present in the black version as well). I used a pretty tight selection on the bodywork.

I've done some really amusing stuff with Photoshop - Changing around people's heads and putting them in different locations and such. I once put big ricey fog lamps on a pic of the front of my truck, then replaced them with breasts as the conversation degenerated. LOL! I'm easily amused...

Later!
