Metco Idlers

Guys, IM trying to install 100mm Metco Idlers on my stock 99L and IM having some trouble. What is the trick to getting the belt back on? Will the stock belt even fit right? It seems to short to me. Thanks a lot for the help, Kyle

If you are stock, like me, you should be running 90mm pullies. I got a 1 inch longer belt (67"); however, if you break the tensioner tab off then the stock belt should fit. I'm sure that's your problem.....100mm pullies are too big. 100's are typically only used if you have a smaller upper pully.

When you say tensioner tab, what exactly are you talking about? Thanks a bunch.

tensioner tab

Kyle,
Link below for a quick read on how to break the tab off. Sorry, I have no pictures but you can locate this: you will encounter a "stop point" as you are releasing tension with your bar. That point is where you'll find the tab. Good luck!
