I think we should give this guy a (another) break. I very rarely post, but read at least ten times a day. (have plenty of time at work) He owns a Lightning. That's the reason this message board exists, right? I doubt anyone on this board is still in high school, so let's act like adults. Name calling is only effective if you believe you are what you're being called. If he had a problem with his truck tomorrow, and because he was kicked off, wasn't allowed to let us all know about it, we'd probably regret his leaving.. I know I certainly would. It's only a message board ladies and gentlemen, not the bottom line on proper manners and courtesies... The web master has the final say, but I for one believe he should stay...

Of course what the BADASSSVT martyr forgot to tell you is that despite having received *many* complaints about his behavior, I did not revoke his posting rights. As my email to him clearly stated, I felt that he contributed and did not want to see that go.

The reason that he lost his posting rights was because he called me an a**hole and attacked me personally. Without an apology, he is not and will not ever be welcome on these boards, positive contribution or not.

I guess the game will start once again with banning user ids, getting new hotmail accounts, contacting ISP's, probably getting personal phone calls, threats of legal action, etc. Frankly I am getting sick of this game.

Maybe if he agreed to get professional help... I'll have to say that if someone insulted me in my own house, I would show him the door also.

I think Badass comes on like a pitbull,that is easy to see and understand. I also find it all entertaining. If you tangle with him you are playing in his domain and might get your ear bitten off. I think Ray is a nice,helpful guy in his own way. We are all different! I think that Ray should bite his index finger that he types with(thats what I use) once in a while and just think for a few seconds before firing off but that's him.
How about an arguement forum Ray could be the moderator!

You and I got along pretty well when you first came on board, so I'll make you a deal.

To get you in the mood, let me say that you probably are the youngest in your family and always had to fight for the leftovers. Probably had pimples/freckles or both. Also probably the runt of the litter. Didn't
do too well in school but made it out. Got in a lot of minor trouble with the town law and have a lousy credit record. Cheat on your wives/girlfriends 'cause you figure they will cheat on you anyway. Love automobiles but get a bit over extended sometimes.

You need to post more often, you are missed although I suspect it is the press of business.

Ain't this board a hoot? A combination of the Walton's, the Brady Bunch, the Partridge Family on the good side and as someone said, Hotel California and some south of that on the other.

I lurk on a lot of other boards for entertainment but rarely post, and I have never, never seen a group like this in their desire to keep people in the family. Even non-Lightning owners are in on this one, and a few others earlier.

Life is all too short, we should try to enjoy it in this type of framework.

PS to Ray: I had freckles, pimples and acne, got in trouble with the cops and had to go to summer school after my senior year to get my diploma. Also was not real good with the girls, at least the marrying kind.

Hey all, Sal here. I really don't have anything to do with any of this, but I did have a similar problem with a member of the Lightning-L mailing list, so I will share my fellings on the situation. There are many people who join mailing lists and message boards, who are just plain buttholes and trouble makers. But there are also people who really don't know proper "internet" ediquette. Many times people come off as being rude and impollite, when in fact they aren't. On the net, capital letters indicates shouting. So someone who types in all caps, can make the simplest ordinary statement, and it may seem to others as if they are being rude and immature. This can be true, but it can also be a simple misjudgement. Many people claim that this is a free country and can speak as they like, but that's just an abuse of the 1st amendment. We are free to speak what we like, but we also must abide by rules. This board has rules. You can't come in starting flame wars and cursing your head off and think you will get away with it. Just like you can't walk into a courtroom and start yelling and cursing because you don't like the judge Sure, you're free to speak your mind in America, but not like that. Same thing here. This is a "Lightning" discusion board. It's not a "pet chat" board, a spam board, or a "you suck, no- you suck" board. If people have personal problems between board members, it should be handled off the board. We don't care to hear that. We care to hear about our trucks. And everyone has a right to like what they want. Just because someone slams his Lightning to the ground, installs fart pipes, chinese lettering, big spoilers and 180 spoke 12" chrome rims on his truck, doesn't mean he's not allowed to be here. Same thing goes for the guy who makes his Bolt into a 4x4. They own Lightnings. If you don't like something on someones truck, keep it to yourself!! It's not your truck!! And everyone here should respect one another. We all agree that this board benefits everyone, so we should all work together to keep us all happy. If someone here on the board does something that seems to be bothering other board members, than that person should consider not doing it anymore. We can all make small sacrifces here I think. Please don't take my post the wrong way. I am not an administrator, nor do I want people to think I am. I just don't want to see people argue like this for stupid reasons.

90% of the time....it seems that we all come across strongly behind a keyboard. When you meet the people in person that you interact with on a board (if ever) you find a totally different human! This is what happened when I was running the F-body bulletin board for my group. Some folks come across with a giant chip on their shoulder, then you meet them and they are a total mouse! Unbelievable! This is not always the case, but it has happened more often than not to me. I don't really know BadASSVT personally, so I can't really make a fair judgement on him. However, one tends to view another by what one posts. He is probably a nice guy. I just choose not to really get involved in those real controversial issues. Were all here for the same reason and this has been great so far! However, setting out personal attacks on webmasters/site owners doesn't put you in good favour, not that we are trying to impress anyone but no one deserves that.
