Angry Here is Photo of the remains of my Lightning

Well here is one photo of the Lightning, I have loaded 6 other pix on www.zing.com under mikesmotorsports albums for the Lightning's. I never posted a pix by I'll try I will check it out later to make sure it works. Also the final estimate for repair is around 16,000 dollars. I have a itemized part # list and cost for almost every body piece on the lightning if anybody is interested. I will have to scan it in & then e-mail it as a attachment.

Later,
Terry

Terry
I just walked into the house and checked my computer and saw this post. Looked at the photos and just felt sick to see such a beautiful truck all messed-up like that.
I sure do hope there is a 2000 in store for you.

asdeman,

Jeff Here....

I'm at work offshore tonight but My son is going to try and get the pictures of My totalled red 99 Lightning posted for you , hope they'll help. Also My wife is looking for the paperwork from Farmers. Mine was about 3 months old and had only 5 grand on the odometer not the 8 I posted before. If for some reason they don`t get this done I`ll be on-shore tomorrow and will make damn sure it is done.

Good Luck...I think I got $29500.00 for mine with No mods and I kept the CD changer floor mats and tonneau cover complete with frame.

Jeff C.

The info you provide will be greatly appreciated, I cannot find a quote or going price for a 99.5 Lightning with 6000 miles on it nowhere. This paperwork could be vital on getting a fair deal or losing a couple of thousand bucks, like I said it will play a significant role for me getting a fair price.
The estimate is around 16,000 dollars, not counting any suspension or axle damage, will check this out tomorrow.

BTW: I will be out of town until Friday the 21 Jan so you can take your time on getting these papers to me,

Thanks,
Terry

It looks like your poor truck is pretty done in, but in case they think they'll fix that poor L and not total it, tell them that you want all FoMoCo. parts, no substitutes. That should help to jack up the estimate, possibly into the realm where they total it instead of trying to stick you with a wrecked truck. But, like I said at the beginning, that looks and sounds like a done in truck.

My God, I hope they aren't planning on repairing that thing. I want to see your estimate if they are. I'll be back in Carrollton on Thursday night. Fax me a copy if you could. My fax at home is 972-492-2031. Also, I meant to dig around today for a NADA value, but was extremely busy. I'll try again tomorrow. Call the dealer where you bought it and ask what they would sell a 99 with your mileage for...retail cash sale.

Wow! I thought I had prepared myself.... but that is tough to look at. I think I'll go put on another coat of Zaino on mine tomorrow, just to make myself feel better!

Good Luck on the 2000!

My sympathies. What color was the one that got the moose(red?)? Tough month for the red one's.
