Thats VERY impressive. Never heard of a stock one running that quick. Check everything out really well and be sure Ford didn't do something special. I've heard of Ford using spare parts from something else, or just making one vehicle out of a thousand faster than the rest. Looks like you got the Golden Goose! or is it the Wonka-Buck? LOL ..I think you'll be in the 11's easily with your combo, with room to grow. Have fun and keep us all posted!! I think someone on here shattered a stock driveshaft running 11's so you may want to look into something a bit stronger. DOnt quote me here, but it's the only thing I can think of that might break. ..just off the top of my head.

Headers....

No headers eh? May I ask why? wait until you look at the stock manifolds. they work don't get me wrong, but very small opening. I've seen people run high 11's with the complete stock exhaust though. I would put headers if I were you, since it looks like you're doing an angine swap as well. I like my JBA's, they are small tube, enequal length, nothing really special but definitely better than the stock log-style manifolds. Look into it, I may be wrong but it seems wise for your application. BK

i want to get some long tube headers from LFP but they are out of them they look good and they are the best priced @ 739.00 coated everyone else is 1100.00 - 1300.00 not coated

the truck ran that good stock b/c?

1 it had a too aggressive tune from the factory ( i blew up 2 BONE STOCK engines no mods whatsoever)

2 the tires only barked on take-off

3 it was real cold that night

4 maybe b/c i only weight about 120-130lbs

5 or it is b/c "TRUE BLUE" is FASTER!

HA ha, It sounds like something a car salesman would say.. true blue is faster...LOL I dig it. AAs far as the headers go, the JBA's seem to be the best bang for your buck on shorties, and you don't have to cut the factory pipes. Mine were less than 500 bucks from Summit. MUCH better than Manifolds, but of course nothing is better than the long tubes. Have fun, and good luck. I havent installed my JBA's onto this truck yet, I had them on my 2001 that I just traded in for the 2004. I do have them, and well just maybe, might sell them. If you decide to buy a set, there is one small modification I had to do to them to fit the 2001 so hit me up for info on how to do that if you get a set.
