New to this site just want to say hello.

Hey,
I've recently sold my blown Fox Stang and bought an 03 Lightning.
I'm really having fun with the truck. It has a 6lb lower, chip/tune, intake, lowering shackels, MAC catback, some cool (IMO) retro style Cragar 18's and billet grill.
I look forward to learning more about the trucks and maybe meeting some of you.

Thanks,
Bill.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
No Rich, I haven't taken the truck to the track yet. I bought it from a dealer who had no idea about any of the mods and because of privacy rules would not devulge the previous owner. The truck has a Diablo sport flip chip in it and I believe the tune is for 93 octane because with our crappy 91 I get a little detonation. I have been doing my own home brew of 100 race gas and 91 and it is ok but I need to get the tune sorted out before I race the thing.
Don't want anything going bang.

This is a great site.

Howdy!

Welcome to the group Bill. Iam a previous Fox-Body owner myself, had a few of them actually. A lightning kicked my butt one night out at the races and I told myself I had to have one some day, and here I am a proud owner of my 2nd Lightning. You will love your truck, and you came to the right place for advice and an all around good group of people. These trucks not only handle better than most sedans, they out muscle them even in stock trim. Yours should run really hard with the mods you mentioned assuming the tune is just right. Once again, Welcome to the group!! BK

I like it A LOT it's old school, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

I watch people post about rims all the time, I see people on the road with all rim and no tire bounching down the block like their driving a mexican jumping bean, and have never really found or seen anything that I would ever consider putting on mine.

UNTIL NOW Excellent choice, that is the look I want
