How many Turbo L's do we have? (done or in progress)

Since I am patiently waiting for my warranty to run out on my L before I go turbo, I'd like to see who I need to "watch for" on the boards.

I know we have:
Frank
Shock
Scott (Sal's Red Beast)
KBZilla- "2 weeks out" (What? Do you work for Whipple?)
MisterGadget: Post-apocolypse
1fst54: In Progress. T Minus a month or so

Any other Gen2's?

As soon as I finish up my Turbo Gen 1, I will start on the Gen 2 Turbo (approx. 2-3 weeks) I will be building it all myself.

Well, actually I have already started collecting some parts and have just started on a Alum. Sheetmetal upper intake for the build.

I know there is one here in the Houston area. It is up and running. They are still working on the tuning but it has made a few good pass's down the track. It has alot more in it. I will let him tell the story if he gets on here.

Heres a link to the thread.

1fst54. Are you already in build up phase?
Yes I have been in the process since June. I have been waiting on alot of parts. One being the tranny and getting it rebuilt for the turbo, and what turbo to go with. My builder is making the tubing with the frpp headers.

Builder gave me the date of the end of the month for it to be finished.

I have all the pictures collected and will post one big thread about the project. I rather do it that way instead of having everyone ask me when it will be done.

So far I have 9,800. without the tune invested in this project.

Theres one here in Columbus, he posts on nloc under Jeff Mccool. He recently went 11.66 @ 116 at a track rental at Norwalk. This is a homemade kit and stock longblock.

Checking in
I'm a big bore 4V iron block with large frame single turbo.

FR500 heads (ported)
Almost 6.0L displacement (Darton sleeve, iron block)
10. to 1 compression
Comp cams
GT47-88 turbo
Bell A/A intercooler
Custom intake manifold

Been working on it since December '04 and should have all the engine pieces back from the machine shop before Thanksgiving.

Dale.... You dont want the iron block... You dont want the iron block... You dont want the iron block... Is it working yet?

Oh well, I guess I'm already included in this thread but I'm checking in myself.

I talked to Jeff McCool tonight on the phone. He has a PT GTS70 on his at 16psi, makes a little over 500/600 with it, and went 11.66@117

Also John Armstrong from Houston, I think he was referenced already in this thread. He has a PT GTS76 like I am running.

I would have sold you that hunk-O iron a long time ago and bought a pot metal block and been happy with a 5.4L but that would leave me stuck with about 1200.00 worth of 3.7" pistons...and I can't do that. Maybe someday when I'm rich
