All Lightnings come with dual airbags, with the passenger side key switch that allows the driver to turn off the airbag when a small child is riding. Surprizing to me, My moose accident did not activate the airbags. We were not hurt either. I think I am going to email the pictures to a Ford corporate dude to ask why. Anyone have any email address?

Cool

How fast were you going when you hit the moose? Some airbags will not deploy below 35 MPH. Scott

I think he means chassis air bags. I have not heard of anyone who has had air bag put on their truck.

We were travelling along at around 50-55, when we saw the moose my friend immediatly stepped on the brake, which in turn started the rear-end to come around, and I think we hit around 45

As tall as they are most of the impact weight was probably on your hood. Mabey its legs didn't push the bumper enough to set off the airbags.
