Puncture In slick

So whats the deal when you get a puncture in a racing slick? I have a little chunck about 1/4 of the dia of a pencil missing. The tire is leaking about 15psi of pressure over night.

Is getting it patched at say discount tire the best way to go?

Just looking to find out what most of you have done when this happens.

That blows! (I know, bad pun)

If it's not near the sidewall I'd have it patched, just not by Discount Tire. At least, not by the one on Juan Tabo.

If you are really missing some rubber, not just a puncture, there is a type of patch with a plug to fill the hole.
