The exhaust tips on my lightning apear to hang lower than the ones I see in pictures of others. Mine measure 3" from the top of the tips to the lower edge of the cut out. Does'nt look right.

Mine are three inches also with no apparent adjustment capabilities. Sometimes they look like they hang down too far, sometimes they don't. At my age, I'm getting use to that kind of phenomenon.

We had to bring the exhaust up when I had the flowmaster installed, and it looks much cleaner, I don't know why they make 'em hang so low

I bet ford put them 3 or so in. So the plastic would not melt. Get very hot after a hard run.

 

Mine are in the correct location , they do not hang 3 inches, and i dont think they were intended to.I saw the black one with the progressive wheels and those tips seem to hang alot lower than mine.My lightning seems to be perfect so far knock on wood.I will say the engine oil seems to get dirty quick.
