My old man asked me to install his electric brake controler for his trailor and ...........duh!!!!

If you use the brake controler harness that comes with the truck.....plug it in under the dash to the plug, then you have wires for a key on power source and illumination..........just connect your wires to the wires on the harness. Just wire nut and tape up the wires for the brake switch that you won't be using.

Can't believe i've never thought of it before.

Of course if you need the brake controler...........then it's all off.

where the hell is the plug for the controler??? that sounds like a good idea when i do all my guages

 

right next to the obd port. There is a grey plug. You truck comes with a little package with nother grey connector with like 10 inch wires on it. You are supposed to plug in the relays to the box under the hood. They wire your aftermarket brake controler to the harness.........then plug it in.

If you weren't using it for brakes.........there you go.
