Using a code scanner with a chipped vehicle, OK?

I have a check engine light in my L, and just bought a code scanner. Can I use this in my truck and clear codes, or will that effect the chip? Anyone have any experiance with this?

You should'nt have any issues at all. I've done it with a actron scanner and an autotap.

With Superchips stuff I have never had an issue. When I had some Diablo revolution software, I had problems getting the computer to communicate with the scanner. This may have been taken care of by now though. -Mat-
