How many informed Lightning owners are there in the area? I'm in Osceola County , and I've seen a slight few here and I've seen a black one at Harbortown marina in Merritt Island, and I've seen one on the Beeline towing a boat (I was going east, he, west) Some day I would like to go to Bithlo to check my times, and would get a kick out of a little bit of a Lightning show.I've never been there so I don't know how may if anyone goes.

 

There are some Central Floridians on this board and also on the NLOC e-mail discussion board. Plus, I know of a couple of '99.5 Lightning owners and a couple of Gen I owners in the area who are not F-150 Online or NLOC members.

I agree we should all meet up at Bithlo one night. Would be a lot of fun.

There are a few in the area like Mike said but I've yet to meet up with them. An evening at Bithlo, the nightmare before Christmas (a Central Florida joke) would be fun. 3 or 4 Lightnings would certainly give the bowtie crowd something to think about.

Well between the 3 of us we have all 3 colors . That alone would be a great pic. Just name a day for Bithlo and I'll get there. The truck I saw towing the boat on the Beeline I belive was white and we flashed lights. I have about 350 miles on my new engine now , it seems stronger than the original,but I never got to time it.I did rattle a Cobras tree on John Young one night.

Bithlo is about 15 miles west of downtown Orlando. Try mapquest.com for directions and distances.

 

I could probably get the guy I sold my Syclone to to join us. Of course, maybe I should wait until I receive my PSP chip and air cleaner kit from Sal. Would hate to get beat by my old 9 year old truck.

Bithlo is really East of Orlando, not west, on highway 50. If central Florida people want a good, uncrowded track, I suggest Gainesville dragway.

Blue inquired about times at tracks. Gainesville Raceway is dark until mid Jan. They then begin a Sat. routine. Shortly thereafter they will begin their Wed. Nite Test and Tune. This is the cat's ***. It usually is not crowded. I have put in 15 runs and been home at 10:30. They are owned by NHRA and are strict about helmets and such, below 13.99. However, they are super friendly and the place is run like a professional track.

Thanks for the info! I like the Wed. night thing myself. Anyone know about Bithlo? How about about a road trip from the Orlando guys? I would do either. I can get free anytime. Anyone going to the Indy run @ Disney?

The race is on January 29, I may have a lead on some VIP passes, bbut I havet heard bacck from the person yet. I have never seen Indy cars run live before.
