Cool Alignments

Hey all, I was wondering if you all knew that you can get a whole lot of stuff done to your trucks under the 12month-12000 mile waranty, including alignments, wiper blades, and so forth. As I am a Ford Tech, I should know,(They sure dont want to pay me for doing it!!!)

Ohh Yeah! All you have to do is say that your truck is drifting, pulling,or(GET THIS)jumping into the other lane. Believe me I've heard it all!

Thumbs down

The alignment specs are so liberal that you will have difficulty getting them to install the cam bolts and do the alignment. Some dealers simply install them while others will put it on the rack and use the lame excuse that it's within spec or "they all do that".

Since I don't have time to argue or find another dealer I chose to simply have someone do the work and know it was done right. I tend to not trust the dealers when it comes to "forced" warranty work and an extra $100 on top of what I paid is chump change.

Of course if the dealers would all get together and start installing the cam kits on setup then the flood of $200 warranty claims to fix something that only saved Ford $2 on initial assembly would probably get them installed at the factory.

Hey Mark, since I was in the same boat as you on this alignment problem, I can relate to your logic. Needless to say, the Ford dealerships were not the ones to fix it for me either.......
