Question No cats

Have any of you ran your 2nd gen Lightnings at the track without the cats, but otherwise leaving the exhaust stock? To be politically correct I realize this could only be done to run at the track and not driven on the street. 1/4 time drops as a result of gutted/no cats?

Hey Peter, Sal here. I have a local customer who has my chip and filter kit, and 3 inch ehxuast with no cats and Aeromax mufflers. He is running the stock headers and stock tires. The truck is otherwise unmodifed and goes 13.20s. If you remove the cats, it will set the check engine light after a few drive cycles. I can shut the OBDII cat test off in the software with the chip.

Thanks Sal,

I'll be talkin w/you in the upcoming months. I've ordered a 00 L, and when it arrives, first thing will be your chip and filter and possibly something with the cats and custom programming of the chip.

Cool

Sal do you recommend the cat pipe from bassani over deleting the cats altogether?

Is the bassani cat pipe a direct bolt on without any modifications?

Is there any disadvantages to the cat pipe?

Thanks

Vern
