Post Run a Trans Am lately?

I did.

Took the L out tonight for one last spin before putting her to bed. The roads were wet like it had rained recently, but it hasn't rained here all week. Must be a lot of moistier in the air.

Anyway, I figured I wouldn't see any action tonight because of the wet roads so I decided to head on home. I was comming up to a red light and noticed some headlights behind me. The headlights behind me changed lanes and I looked over and there was a late model Trans Am (can't say what year but it looked new). Light changed and we took off, not racing. I was ahead, then he caught up to me. I got down on it to about 3/4 pedal, wheels spun and I went sideways a little so I got out of it (remember roads were wet). Then this idiot punched it, I did not. He charged ahead, wheels spinning and went sideways and came into my lane a little bit (glad I did not try to stay with him) he let off after that. We came to a straightway and I started to creep up on him. Before I got 3 cars close to him he starts speeding up. I kept on getting down on the pedal, little by little until i thought the wheels were going to let loose. I maintained the 3 car length the whole time, probably wound up at about 3/4 pedal before I let off. By this time we were closing in on the next intersection. He slowed way down and I went by him. I stopped at the light and when he drove by, he looked real hard at my fender and just shook his head at me. It was like he thought I gave him everything I had and I was just no match for him. Oh well, I will be looking for another Trans Am to race when the roads are dry. I was turning one way and he was turning the other, when he rounded the corner he spun his tires as he took off, which really impressed me on the wet roads (not).

Overall I'm not sure what to call this but I would call it even and put a big asteriks after that for the wet roads. He may very well have handed me my butt on dry roads, but we will have to wait and see about that.

Would be interested in hearing if anyone has had a full throtle race with a T/A and what the results were.

That would be a wash at best!

In the wet the lightning handles pretty well , think god!

But this is not a kill by any means!
