Question MAF Meter 101 question?

MAF Meter 101 question?

I have a 2000 L and I know that when we up grade our truck from the 80 MM MAF unit to the 90 MM MAF unit does the MAF unit it self have to be calibrated? I had my tune adjusted for the 90MM MAF unit and 55 lb injectors but did not have the MAF unit it self calibrated.

Thank everyone for your input,

God Bless,

Jeronimo (Suavy)

I did not think that of all people that you would not know the answer to that question with you're deep knowlage of lightnings.

No need to calibrate the Maf. What you have done is

Thanks but some times we can be so smart we are dumb!

I also believe that some times we need to cut the top of the tree to make the roots grow.

Meaning I am down about 150 RW hp with all my mods and so far I cant tell you why! I don't feel so bad because everyone who has touched my truck so far or who has made a tune for me with the exception of JDM can tell me why also?

I'll pray on it and ask for God's help!

Peace,

Suavy

Does asking God for more horse power work? I haven't tried that yet.

Steve, I don't usually ask him for that so I don't know.

I do however ask him to let his will be done! If my life's issues are not of his will I ask for his intervention.

Peace,

Suavy

Thank you Rob, you my brother have endured many obstacles, as have I so I'm sure you don't find these issues amusing.

I do have a MAF extender but the guy who tuned me took it off and said that the truck was not pegging the meter so he took it off.

I asked I-Menace to borrow his spare MAF meter to see if that had any thing to do with it but he sold his extra.

God Bless,

Suavy ,I have a spare Maf i can send u .If it works for u and thats your problem keep it ,if not just send it back. i was just going to E bay it ,but for a friend its yours if needed. It came off my 2001. It has a hole drilled in it for when i had nitrous but you can just plug it. Do you have your cam specs? I dont understand why they would have to be degreed. I just bolted mine in. Maybe your grinds are off. I think i have mine written down somewhere which have been working great with my magnum. I can shoot u a mail with them too if u want.

I know when I put the 90mm and drove to Pauls performance he literally yelled at me, becuase the truck was running extremely lean and the shift points were all screwed up. He fixed it.

Then I took it to Jerry at SCT and he screwed it all up. He didn't get the 90mm fuel tables correct, I guess they are tricky, and my truck ran like dog*****. I swapped everything out, but it turned out to be the tune. SO I returned the MAF that I was told by Them must be bad.

I know when it was screwed up, my shift points were all screwed up again.
Thank GAWD, Sal straightened me out.

Hows the truck shifting?
