I just ordered a set from the Online Store. Has anyone else installed these mirrors and if so, is there anything I need to know before diving into this one?

Hey Rich,

I installed these on my Lightning days after picking it up. They are simple to install and help if you haul anything. I pull a trailer for my Harley's and these help out a great deal.

The passengers mirror is okay, but my drivers mirror shakes a little around 70mph. I took it off to make sure that all of the plastic knuckles were snapped in and all of them were.

Anyway, you will find them to be very benefical.

How do the wires hookup, are they there in the door or do you have to run them to it?

I've heard that the 98-00 F150's are prewired for the signal mirrors. Does anyone know for sure?

I put the mirrors in mine a few months ago. Yes, the doors are pre-wired just be careful pushing the terminals through the connector they bend easily.
Putting them on was no problem at all the first side took me about 1 hour (I was being very cautious) the other side took 20 minutes.
