OK its getting late, ill let you in on my secret. i went out today and bought two red lightnings 19.99 a piece.i left one untouched in the box. while i COMPLETLEY took apart the other one.(very easy i will add) i sanded ,painted, and it came out perfect ,you cant tell the difference except for the small stickers. it is worth doing, it came out great!!!so thats how i got a white one. no need to paint black, they will be available in jan. but they said they are not going to have white so the only way for a white one is to paint it yourself.

 

I could taste a white one . Well....I will have to settle on painting one. Where are they available?

 

Unfortunately, I was correct about the method of getting a white Lightning model. Oh well.
