As I was reading my Ford Truck Performance magazine. in the back they have an article called "35 Lightning Power Picks" pick #4 is the oil breather cap. Does this trick really work? I read on another site that a check valve should be used with this item, others claim to also use an oil separator along with this item, and the magazine also speaks about an oil separator kit in another article and the breather cap. Is any of this necessary, does it work or not?

I think I saw this same list years ago. There on hundreds of posts on this subject - if you do a search you'll learn all the reasons why/why not to use this oil breather cap by itself, separators, etc.
