JLP Intercooler Resevoir or Fluidyne HE

I plan on eventually getting both, but for now, which would provide more effective cooling? I am leaning towards the the JLP resevoir due to increasing fluid capacity so much. Verdict?

I just ordered an LFP Heat Exchanger. I was trying to make the same decision, but I figure that the cooling with an exchanger will be more benificial for daily driving. A bigger reserve tank is good, but with daily driving the fluid will eventually all be the same temp (not cooler). I understand that for the track a reserve that you can add ice to will be very benificial, but I drive the truck more than race the 1/4 mile. Plus you get under the bumper Bling with an exchanger!!!!!!!!

Thanks Kirst, that makes sense. What made you pick the LFP unit over the Fluidyne?

I'm not sure what made his mind up, but I can tell you that the Fluidyne is over twice the thickness of the stock HE and does'nt take anymore space verticly than stock, only the thickness is larger. It is a quick bolt on that does not use the cumbersome bracket that is used on the "LPF" unit. It fits directly to where the bracket usually bolts to.

We have them in stock and on sale now and in your case, it can be on your doorstep in 2 days, because we are in NC and you are in FL.

And if you are looking for great customer service, We definatly look out for our customers. That is the only way we do business.

Thanks, Andy@*>

I would order the Heat Exchanger. i think it would make a bigger diff. it also holds more fluid like the resevoir and cools better

I chose the LFP unit because of their great customer service (Chickenears is also TOP NOTCH) and history of success with their parts for me and others. Their quality has always been up to my expectations, which is very high when it comes to choosing parts for the L. I personally think their is no operational difference between the two.

The price too. LFP made me a great deal for the Exchanger and a few other goodies.

There is an operational difference between the LFP and fluidyne. LFP's are slightly larger, and have more cooling fins on the fluid tubes with custom stenciling.

You also want to check out the Larger Capacity Intercooler Reservior. I think their web site says twice the capacity without having to relocate your battery and LFP added that 4'' fuel cell door for packing ice. I'll be picking that up next season.

Why not just buy a used OEM H/E from $40 and be done with it. It would reason your gonna get the same results for a fraction of the cost. Just go to Home Depot and make a new bracket for the 2nd H/E.

I installed my JLP Intercooler tank this weekend. It took 1.5 gallons more fluid than the stock tank!

The LFP EXtreme heat exchanger is larger than the fluidyne and offer 15% more cooling fins on fluid tubes.
It incorporates the aluminum hangers because it's taller. We are offering them for $349.00 shipped. A 45 min. install!
When you purchase our EXtreme performance heat exchanger you also have the opportunity to purchase our LFP Super Intercooler resevoir for $189.00. All aluminum construction, no battery to relocate, drain and a 4" fuel cell door for packing ice. Twice the size as stock.
