The January 2000 issue of Truckin' has dyno tests of a lightning stock, and with a Bassini exhaust upgrade.
Peak HP at wheels 304 Stock
Peak HP at wheels 324 Bassani Exhaust
Peak Torque at wheels 390 Stock
Peak Torque at wheels 418 Bassani Exhaust
Note: DynoJet Model 248C Dynamometer
Tested 8/3/99
76.2 F 29.92 pressure 50 ft. CF=0.99 RPM/MPH=43

2 1/2" dia pipe Cat-pipe and Cat Back
Yes it looks like stock. www.bassani.com
(714) 630 1821

Note: Tested Lightning was indeed Black

I thought DynoJet had a listing of places on their web site, but I just checked and if it ever was there, it isn't anymore...

Just a reminder that Sal carries Bassani stuff now and with a NLOC membership you get 10% off. That'd save ya $170 on that full Bassani setup.

BTW, I've been running a full Bassani arrangement on my '95 for about 2 years. I can't say enough about their craftsmanship and fit and finish. Everything bolted right up on mine and has held up very well to my abuses.

Later!

For those of you who have installed the Bassani system your 99 L's, what kind of improvements in the 1/4 have you seen?

I guess I was not specific enouhg. What I am looking for is a Dymometer that will tell me the HP at the rear wheels not a new exhaust system.
Sorry for the confusion.

Wink

I own one Lightning, my 4th truck, this year, 3rd comes my 66 Chevy C10, then I had two Jap pick-ups. Felt lucky to walk away from a T-boned Isuzu. Blew the engine on a second body. Feel much safer now. No Tundra.

PS We got even with the Jap Iron with some good ol' Catipillar iron. Hardly a bump. I'll post a picture whenever I want to waste some film on it.

Name is Tundra because that's where I live...
Dry fish anyone? HEHE
