Brimstone , have you seen the new M3. Reports are 350 hp from a natuarally aspirated 3.6 L six. 0-60 in the high 4's.
Ive beaten a few of the current M3 but Im afraid the 2000 will smoke my Lightning and the audi.

I've heard of the new M3 but didn't know the specs. That'll be pretty crazy, there's a whole lot of M3's around here, I better watch which M3 I mess with

Speaking of Beemers, what's up with this 400 HP Z8? Is that correct?

I sat in a 400+ hp M5 at the Orlando Auto Show the other day. I think the MSRP was around $68K. Very nice ride, however, and the Beemer rep could tell you anything you wanted to know about the car.

No Lightning's at the show. In fact, the Ford rep had never even seen one and knew next to nothing about them! (He did, however, know a lot about the new Explorer Sport Trak and F-150 Crew Cab and couldn't understand why I would rather have a L than either one of those.)

Yoda,

On Nov 12th, the first night you were at Firebird. I saw a twin turbo supra run a 12.68. I have no details of what he had done to it.

Audi S4s. The S4 is a great all weather, all year car, and with a TAP or HOPPEN chip running 14 lbs. boost they have about 320 hp. on tap. They can go to 400 hp. with more boost and some other changes. The 6 speed is pretty rubbery, the BMW's is much better. One of my fellow Lap Dogs just bought one to prep for the One Lap, and I have driven the new ones. However, I can tell you that when comparing a stock Lightning vs. S4 stock, the Lightning is much visceral in its seat of the pants feel. Note that the S4 weighs over 3600 lbs.
