Question rev limiter

Any ideas on this. Just the last few days my truck has pick up a new quirk. If I light the tires up when I leave a light or stop sign, the engine hit the limiter and shut down for a fraction of a second at the top of first gear. Only the top of first gear, and only if the tires are spinning. I had not noticed this until the weather got cool and dry. It feels like I have fifty extra horsepower. Is this ok? Should I not worry about it? I can't Imagine what it would feel like if I would get off my rear and order Sal's filter and chip. But I don't like the feeling of the truck pulling hard, then cutting out, then shifting gears, and pulling hard again.

Hey Jerry, Sal here. The Lightning has what's called "Torque Reduction". This cuts cylinders at certian times, such as at WOT shifts, hitting the rev limiter, and if the engine overheats.
