Question Joining the club, Houston?

Hey guys, I am just wondering who lives around the Houston area? I live out there and I have just put my cash down on a new black "L"! Man am I excited! I am glad to join the team of "wonder" trucks. This is the group that pushed me into it. You guys love these trucks and that did it to me. I hope that I can get to know more of you and see you at the tracks. Well, atleast the few in Houston area. Thanks guys, your information is appreciated.

Nate

99SVT,
The mat looks and fits good, the color is a bit off but I don't mind that (it's better than ruining your carpet). It covers most all the floor and you can't tell unless you have the door open so you can see the area that it doesn't cover. I think the cost was in the $80 - $90 range. I didn't get any of the embroidery work done because they didn't have any thing I liked, so I just have mine plain. I looked in to getting some stuff scanned and done but it was going to be allot (like $200), so I blew that off as well. For a $300 dollar floormat NO WAY!!! Carpet is as cheap.

Hey guys, Not to go to far off the subject, but we are having a Rally April 14 through 16 in San Antonio (check the Events Threads) and would love to have a mess of lightning there. Since you all are in the Houston area why not have a convoy over and join the fun.

Wyldman round these Lightnings up and bring them with ya. OK???

Hey SVT54SC,
I see by you sig. that you have a Loyd one piece floor mat. How is the fit of it. What is the cost. Do you have a web site where I can check it out. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Gang, (hopefully soon to be known as the Houston Area Lightning Owners, HALO)

I am a founding member of the F-150 Online Texas Rally Gang, and it would be my honor and privelidge to assist any who are interested in making the trek for the big event in April.

I was at the inaugural event held in October in Austin and met a bunch of really nice folks. Talked trucks and general philisophy until far into the wee hours and generally had a blast. We rallyed around the hill country and Lake Travis, drawing stares and drool the whole time, even from the Porsche club that we ran into doing thier own rally.

I think a convoy of Lightnings and other flavors running from Houston to Dallas would be a truly awesome sight and would really enjoy participating and meeting the area owner/drivers of our little toys. This invite is open to any and all Lightning, F-150, F-250, etc. owners who would like to participate.

This event is appropriate for the whole family, so bundle up the wife and young 'uns and come on down for a weekend of fun!

Heck, you don't even need a Ford or a truck to be welcome. Just be interested in Ford trucks, and enjoy meeting new friends and showing off your rides.

If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me at (281) 242-4434 for info or email me at wyldman@houston.rr.com.

Hoping this will be a landmark event!
